It's Elphie! I love this picture from my Wicked: The Grimmerie book and I decided to try it out. I was a cheat and traced some major shapes like the outline of her hat, and eyes, nose, that sort of thing, the big facial features, but the rest I did my own.
There's actually quite a story behind this. My dog almost died as a result of this picture. I needed a light to draw it in the living room and the dog bit down on the cord, getting it lodged in her canine tooth and actually was dead for two minutes. Mom pounded on her heart while I did "mouth-to-snout" and she came back to us, the miracle puppy! Poor girl!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
